Okay, OOC time, because a lot of people wonder about this so I figure what the hell, I might as well answer until I have time to write an “about” page.

This universe centers around Castiel Novak, a high school student in Sioux Falls who is currently going through his senior year.   He lives with his pastor father, who is never around, his younger sister Anna, and his step-mother Eve. He has two older brothers, Michael and Lucifer, but they already left for college.   Gabriel is his cousin, who graduated a year ago but hasn’t bothered going to college, he currently has his own apartment and no one knows where all his money comes from - he has his tricks.   (Gabriel also has two older siblings, twins, Balthazar and Rachel, who are in college out of state just like Mike and Luci).

Castiel met Dean Winchester about two years ago when John and his family moved into town after Bobby Singer (who owns Singer Salvage) offered to help John out with the boys (yes, Mary is dead in this verse, died in a house fire).   John Winchester is a police officer.

Right now like I said in the first part Castiel and Dean are in their senior year (even though Castiel is a year older, he missed a year of school after his mother died) and Sam is currently a freshman.  Anna a junior and Gabriel a graduate.  But I go back and forth on timelines depending on the question.
